In
1935 Bill Tsules rented this small corner, put in a long counter,
started selling ice cream and sandwiches and created the Soda
Shoppe. Shortly after, Gregory Mitsis joined Bill and through
their combined efforts, the Soda Shoppe attained a reputation
for offering good food and friendly service.
In
1968 Chris Liazos joined Bill and Greg. The Soda Shoppe was
expanded into a restaurant complete
with new menu and started doing business as the Webster House.
In 1977 Bill and Greg retired.
Great
cooking with the freshest ingredients, tempting homemade pastries
and warm friendly service in; pleasant surroundings have made
us a Worcester landmard for over half a centurey.
In 1994
the restaurant underwent its biggest renovation and expansion. Greek
and American cuisine along with ethnic celebrations define
today’s Webster House. With the expansion came the ability
to offer function rooms for parties of up to 75 guests.
Chris
and Helena Liazos are the current owners.
